DENCAD / Clear Aligners
DENCAD Clear Aligners
Every confident smile starts with a well-planned case. DENCAD Aligners is being built for dentists and orthodontists who want thoughtful planning, a smooth experience for their patients, and a team they can rely on from first scan to final tray.
Illustration only, not a real patient or outcome. Every treatment plan is reviewed and approved by the treating clinician.
Treatment workflow
The treating clinician confirms suitability and sets the treatment goals.
Share scans, photos and clinical information through the approved submission process.
Check the digital treatment plan and request changes before you approve it.
Aligners are made to the confirmed prescription and the agreed package.
The treating clinician checks fit, tooth movement and response, and decides whether refinements or other steps are needed.
Plan review
Every DENCAD Aligners plan goes through your review before anything is made. Change it as often as your package allows, and approve only when you're happy.
Our team builds the digital setup from your records and prescription, within the time confirmed for your package.
Check tooth movements, staging, attachments and IPR in your account.
Send your comments and we update the plan. Revision rounds are set out in your package.
Approval confirms the plan is clinically right for your patient. Then, and only then, production starts.
Service options
We plan and stage the treatment. You receive approved, print-ready files for your own printing and thermoforming.
We plan the treatment and, once you approve it, arrange production and delivery of DENCAD Aligners.
Design + production is available only in markets where DENCAD can meet local regulatory requirements. Ask us about your country.
Five packages, from Starter 10/10 at $399 to Unlimited at $1,499, so you can offer each patient the option that suits them. Aligner counts, refinements and service periods for each package are on our Pricing page.
Discreet, modern and easy to live with, for suitable teens and adults who would prefer an alternative to fixed braces. Always prescribed and monitored by a qualified dental professional. Suitability, treatment time and results vary from person to person.
We'll help you hit the ground running. Our planned onboarding programme walks you through the DENCAD workflow, case submission and how we keep in touch on every case. Clinical education and certification materials will be published here as soon as they are ready.
Contact the DENCAD team and share your requirements and digital records through the approved channel. We'll tell you exactly which files and information we need, so nothing gets held up.
Our specialists get to work, preparing your design or treatment setup to your exact specifications.
Take a look, share your thoughts and approve when you're happy. Clinical decisions always stay with you, the treating professional.
Receive your final files or move on to production, with our team still on hand for any follow-up.
Some services need extra approvals, records or validation steps. We confirm timelines and deliverables for each service and case.

Crowns and bridges, implant restorations and abutments, surgical guides, digital models, dentures, diagnostic wax-ups, splints and appliances, and aligner design support. We confirm availability and deliverables when we review your requirements.
Sign in to your account, choose the service, complete the prescription and paste a link to the records in your own cloud drive. Pay online and the case moves into design. If you don't have an account yet, contact us and we'll guide you through your first case.
Usually upper and lower intraoral scans, a bite scan, the tooth numbers, material and any margin, contact or occlusion notes. Implant cases also need the implant system, platform and scan body details, and anterior cases benefit from photographs. We'll tell you exactly what's needed for each service.
Put the scans, photos and any other records in a folder in your own cloud drive (for example Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox), create a share link and paste it into the case form. Restrict the link to the people who need it and set an expiry date if your drive allows. You can revoke the link once the case is completed.
All major scanners, CAD systems and file types, on request. We prefer STL because every system can read it. If you need PLY, OBJ, a CAD project file or another format, choose it when you submit the case or tell us in the notes.
48 hours as standard, or 24 hours with rush service (+50% of the design price). Turnaround starts once we have accepted a complete case and received payment. Aligner setups and services quoted per case have their own timelines, confirmed with you.

Yes. You can save design preferences, such as cement gap, contacts and output format, in your account so every case follows your standards.
DENCAD's core service is digital design. You receive production-ready files for your own milling or printing workflow. DENCAD Aligners are the exception: we can arrange production for aligner cases.
A clear aligner system for dentists and orthodontists. You send the records, we prepare a digital treatment setup for your review, and once you approve it the aligners are produced to your prescription.
Only qualified dental professionals who hold the registration needed in their country. DENCAD Aligners are custom-made devices and are not sold directly to patients.
For suitable teenage patients, clear aligners may be an option after assessment by a qualified dental professional. Suitability and treatment planning are decided case by case by the treating clinician.
Yes. You can review the digital setup, request changes and approve it only when you're satisfied. Nothing goes into production without your approval.
Refinements are not included in the Starter, Essential, Advanced and Complete packages. Unlimited includes one refinement series, meaning one additional approved treatment plan. Ask our team about retainers. See Pricing for full package details.
Yes. Our onboarding programme covers the DENCAD workflow, case submission and case communication. Details of clinical education are available from our team.
The treating dentist or orthodontist only. DENCAD provides digital design and technical services and does not examine, diagnose or treat patients. The clinician is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, prescription, consent, approving every design and plan, fitting and monitoring.
No. Treatment results depend on the patient, the clinical plan and the treating clinician's care. Our designs and setups support the clinician's decisions; they do not replace them.
All prices are in US dollars and listed on our Pricing page; for example, a full zirconia crown design is $5. Surgical guides, dentures, wax-ups, splints and aligner setups are quoted per case.
Yes. Your rebate tier is based on the design units you paid for last month: 5% from 100 units, 8% from 300 and 10% from 600, applied automatically. You can also top up prepaid credit for a bonus of up to 10%. See Pricing.
Fees are payable in full when you submit a case, by online payment through your DENCAD account. Work starts once payment has been received. Extra charges, such as additional revisions or rush service, are paid online before that work starts.
If we decline a case before work begins, for example because records are missing or the case is outside our services, we refund the fee to your original payment method.
Yes, but we give at least 30 days' notice. Cases you've already paid for are not affected.
Patient data is processed under our Data Processing Agreement. DENCAD does not store your case files: records stay in your own cloud drive and you share them with us as a link, which you control and can revoke at any time. Please never send patient records through the contact form, general email or messaging apps.
Please use a patient reference code instead of a full name wherever possible, and share only the information needed for the case.
You keep ownership of the scans and records you submit, and you can use the final design files for the patient and case they were made for.
No. The records you share stay in your own drive, and any working copy a designer opens is deleted when the case is completed. Finished designs are delivered to your DENCAD account and kept for 30 days so you can download them, then deleted. We keep only case numbers and order details for your account and our legal records. See our Privacy Notice and Data Processing Agreement for details.

DENCAD / Terms & Conditions
Account holders
The agreement between DENCAD and every laboratory, practice or professional that opens a DENCAD account.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. You must read and accept them before you can create a DENCAD account.
These Terms & Conditions (the "T&Cs") form a binding agreement between DENCAD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15990919 ("DENCAD", "we", "us"), and the laboratory, practice or other organisation that opens a DENCAD account (the "Subscriber", "you").
They apply to your DENCAD account and to every case you submit through it. Our website Terms of Use and our Privacy Notice also apply. If these T&Cs conflict with a signed agreement or written quotation for a specific service, the signed agreement or quotation applies to that service.
DENCAD provides digital design and technical services only. DENCAD does not examine, diagnose or treat patients, and does not take on any clinical responsibility.
Clinical responsibility rests with the treating dentist or orthodontist only. This includes patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment selection, prescription, informed consent, approval of every design and treatment plan, fitting, and patient monitoring. No DENCAD design, setup, suggestion or communication replaces the treating clinician's professional judgement.
You must review each design or treatment setup before approving it for manufacture or use. Approval in your account, by email or by any other agreed method confirms that you accept the design or setup as clinically appropriate for your patient.
Each design includes 2 revision rounds, unless your quotation says otherwise. Each further revision, and any change caused by new or corrected records, is charged at 50% of the design price. If a design has an error that is our fault, we will correct it free of charge once you report it with supporting evidence within 7 days of delivery.
Nothing in these T&Cs limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from any case is limited to the fees paid for that case, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
We are not responsible for problems caused by incomplete or inaccurate records, by the manufacturing or materials of third parties, or by clinical decisions made by the treating professional.
We may update these T&Cs. We will tell you about material changes by email or in your account at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue to submit cases after that date, you accept the updated T&Cs. Each version has a version number, and your account records which version you accepted and when.
These T&Cs, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting proceedings, both parties will first try in good faith to resolve the dispute through discussion.
Questions about these T&Cs can be sent to legal@dencad.net, through our contact form, or to our UK mobile / WhatsApp: +44 7366 512725.

DENCAD / Data Processing Agreement
Account holders
How DENCAD protects patient data in the cases you submit.
This agreement applies to every DENCAD account and is accepted together with our Terms & Conditions. Organisations that need a signed copy can request one through our contact form.
This Data Processing Agreement ("DPA") is between DENCAD LTD, company number 15990919 ("DENCAD" or the "Processor"), and the laboratory, practice or other organisation that holds a DENCAD account (the "Subscriber" or the "Controller").
It forms part of the DENCAD Terms & Conditions and applies whenever DENCAD processes Patient Data on the Subscriber's behalf. It is accepted when the Subscriber accepts the Terms & Conditions. If this DPA conflicts with the Terms & Conditions on data protection, this DPA applies.
For Patient Data, the Subscriber is the controller and DENCAD is the processor. DENCAD is a separate controller for the account, contact and payment data described in our Privacy Notice, and this DPA does not apply to that data.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Subject matter | Digital dental design, treatment planning and related services under the Terms & Conditions |
| Duration | From the time a case link is shared until finished design files are deleted from the Subscriber's account, 30 days after delivery (section 11) |
| Nature and purpose | Accessing case records through links the Subscriber shares from its own cloud drive; viewing and analysing them, including in design software, to produce designs, treatment setups and related deliverables; case communication; quality control; and making finished design files available for download in the Subscriber's DENCAD account for 30 days. DENCAD does not store the records the Subscriber shares |
| Data subjects | Patients of the Subscriber, and where relevant the Subscriber's staff named in case records |
| Types of personal data | Patient reference code, age or date of birth, sex, intraoral and facial scans, photographs, radiographs, prescriptions, clinical notes and treatment plans |
| Special category data | Health data (dental and clinical information) |
DENCAD will:
DENCAD will put in place and maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect Patient Data, taking account of the nature of the data and the risks involved. The minimum measures are set out in Annex A. DENCAD may update these measures, provided the overall level of protection is not reduced.
DENCAD may process Patient Data outside the UK through its team members and Sub-processors. Any such transfer will be made only to a country covered by UK adequacy regulations, or under the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional safeguards needed after a transfer risk assessment.
Taking into account the nature of the processing, DENCAD will provide reasonable help to the Subscriber to:
DENCAD may charge reasonable costs for help that goes beyond what is normally needed.
DENCAD will notify the Subscriber without undue delay, and in any event within 48 hours, after becoming aware of a Personal Data Breach affecting Patient Data. The notice will include, as far as known: what happened, the categories and approximate number of patients and records affected, the likely consequences, and the steps taken or proposed. DENCAD will cooperate with the Subscriber and take reasonable steps to contain and remedy the breach. The Subscriber is responsible for any notification to the ICO and to patients.
DENCAD does not keep the records the Subscriber shares. They stay in the Subscriber's own drive and are accessed through the link the Subscriber shares, which the Subscriber controls and may revoke at any time. While a case is in progress, files may be opened in design software on a DENCAD designer's work device. Any working copies are deleted when the case is completed.
Finished design files are delivered to the Subscriber's DENCAD account and kept there for 30 days after delivery so the Subscriber can download them and report any errors. They are then deleted. DENCAD keeps only case numbers and order records, which contain no clinical records, for as long as the law requires.
DENCAD will make available the information reasonably needed to show compliance with this DPA, such as security summaries and policies. Where that is not enough, the Subscriber (or an independent auditor bound by confidentiality) may carry out an audit, no more than once a year, with at least 30 days' written notice, during business hours, and at the Subscriber's cost, unless the audit follows a Personal Data Breach caused by DENCAD.
The Subscriber confirms and agrees that it:
Each party's liability under this DPA is subject to the limits in the Terms & Conditions, except where Data Protection Law does not allow liability to be limited. This DPA stays in force for as long as DENCAD processes Patient Data for the Subscriber.
This DPA is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
